7 Kms from Cantt Railway Station ,there  is one of the oldest temple in the city named Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple built by Goswami Tulsidas, devoted to lord Hanuman. It is said that the great Hindu saint Tulsidas wrote most of parts of the great epic Ram Charit Manas here, itself . It is visited by many devotees daily, but its prominent days are Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Hanumat Jayanti :- Janmotsav of Lord Hanuman is celebrated at Sankat Mochan Temple for 5 days with the cultural and musical programmes by artists from all over India. It is based on Saraswati, Ram and Krishan Lila and Hanuman Charitra.
